Tetris Attack for SNES
Review #623
Tetris Attack
Don't call it Puzzle League
Gameplay
About as perfect as controls can be in a puzzle game. The board is a grid and the cursor moves across the times as you would expect. Simple and responsive.
Blocks come from below rather than above which is surprisingly novel in the genre.
Match 3 gameplay with an emphasis on building combos and it's actually possible to do so compared to other block games.
Level Design
Puzzle, endless, story, and 2 player mode. Everything you could hope for.
Each boss/area has unique background and theme to it.
Theme
Cute Yoshi characters exude charm
Art Style
Bright colorful graphics. Big sprites show current emotion of the players competing.
Audio
Unique songs for each area. Lovely sounds effects as well. Good stuff all around
