WarpSpeed
In space, no one can hear you yawn.Genre: simulation - flight
Publisher: Accolade
Year: 1992
System: SNES
Gameplay Score: 1
Gameplay Notes:
Not sure where to begin. You can accelerate and fire unlimited bullets. Two are fired, off center which is nice otherwise it would be like Faceball 2000 since the bullets are enormous and slow moving. The only way to hit anything is to get inches away and hold to the side and wait for the enemy to break off slightly so you can get your crosshairs ahead of them. But this means the enemy is all the way off screen. So awkward and weird and ready and stupid.
Level Design Score: 1
Level Design Notes:
Every level is the same. Move around a grid and clear out quadrants. Boring
Theme Score: 1
Theme Notes:
Generic sci fi setting. Reminds me of Battlestar Galactica. Forgettable
Art Style Score: 1
Art Style Notes:
Barely anything to look at. Just a whole bunch of asteroids, stars, and enemy spaceships. The devs must've been very proud of the latter cuz you see them in extreme close-up a majority of the time. Still, the game has minimal graphics and what's there is blah.
Audio Score: 0
Audio Notes:
Utterly horrible music. Thankfully it can be disabled but this highlights the terrible sound effects.
