Gameplay

You can turn off "real skate" to make movement different. Oddly, off feels more slippery than on does.
Fast movement. Really really fast when real skate is off.
Scoring is frequent. Just shoot constantly.
Teammates are stupid - they never pass the blue line.
Side view. I think I prefer that in hockey games.

3 on 3 mode.
Includes a Just Play option to jump into a game. Respects your time!
Lots of options and they can all be toggled at any time during a game.

NHLPA license.
Feels a bit like a Tengen game.
Nice presentation.

Includes an unbelievably annoying weight system, limiting both what you can carry and what your character can use as a weapon. If you’re overloaded, you are unable to move. After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk.
