Gameplay

Crazy slow movement
Plays like an early NES game
No weapon powerups that I could find
Hard to hit enemies who take tons of hits
Didn't realize I could morph between three mech suits which was a nice surprise

Level Design

Movement is so slow that it barely matters what the levels look like,
Has some interesting elements like an underwater area with boats and platforms floating above. Platforming is so tough that this isn't necessarily a good thing.

Includes an unbelievably annoying weight system, limiting both what you can carry and what your character can use as a weapon. If you’re overloaded, you are unable to move. After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk. There's an optional Active Battle System and an innovative Single and Team techniques system. No grinding necessary.
