Gameplay

The game utilizes an over-the-shoulder view. I generally don't like this but the gameplay is more forgiving than most so it's much easier to volley. Also, the difficulty is not too high. You are opponent doesn't always return everything that comes in their vicinity. So I'd say this is better than most of the over the shoulder games.

Level Design

Quite a bit of customization is available. You can pick the number of sets choose from a large roster of players each with their own strengths and weaknesses, and you can choose the number of sets and the court type. There are also four different modes including exhibition tournaments and training.

Theme

I'm assuming that Date Kimiko is a women's professional tennis player due to the title screen, but I'm not sure. It's a women's only tennis title.

Art Style

Hilariously awful. The character models are missing most of their face, have bowed legs, and only feature a few frames of animation. They also scale horribly and snap between a small and huge height. The net is horribly drawn with a weird smattering of pixels that looks wildly different at any given moment. Sometimes it looks like a swarm of bees and other times it resembles a barbed wire fence.

Audio

Not much music to speak of, but the audio samples announcing each score are so muffled they're almost unintelligible.
