Dolucky's A-League Soccer

The soccer equivalent of a cute-em-up. A foot-em-up?

Genre: sports - soccer

Publisher: Imagineer

Year: 1994

System: SFC

Gameplay Score: 4

Gameplay Notes:

Tons of difficulty levels. Play it on Easy for a good experience. There's an actual physics engine here, where the ball bounces off players and can even be dribbled into the mouse referee. The ball goes where you tell it to go, passing works, possession works, and defense is possible. Great stuff all around.

Level Design Score: 2

Level Design Notes:

Only four teams and minimal settings. Only one 1P mode.

Theme Score: 4

Theme Notes:

Super cute characters. I don't know who these guys are but they're adorable.

Art Style Score: 4

Art Style Notes:

Incredible graphics. Scrolling is excellent with a great FPS rate. This looks like a late 90's arcade game, or a NeoGeo title. At the end of the day it's just a soccer title, but it looks fantastic.

Audio Score: 3

Audio Notes:

A song plays continuously but it's kind of fun.

Overall Score: 68
