Princess Minerva for SFC
Review #2280
Princess Minerva
Chibi Hentai
Gameplay
Standard stuff. Man these SFC RPGs all play the same. No major complaints about the gameplay as far as battles, movement, or menuing. It's all above-average. The main gimmick is the fact that you've got three, three-person parties. The game cycles between these parties on each random battle so leveling up takes forever and your party usually only has one good fighter, a weaker one, and a useless healer. At least you can switch up party members between battles to suit your preferences.
Level Design
Again, probably above-average, but not by much. The bosses are way more powerful than normal enemies so the difficulty spikes are extreme. The world is small and there's a good map on the pause screen.
Theme
YMMV on this one. Every hero, enemy, and monster is a sexy anime girl so if that's you're thing you'll enjoy this. If not, steer clear. It's ever presence but not overt so I won't knock it down too far, but this isn't my thing.
Art Style
Again, either you like anime girls or you don't. That's pretty much the name of this game. The artwork is loud, colorful, and flashy but is certainly an acquired taste.
Audio
Surprisingly, the music is catchy. It's more upbeat than I thought it would be. The main theme sounds more like a boss fight song, for example. Still, I enjoyed the music and kept it on throughout my playthrough.
