Gameplay

Overhead shooter. Simple yet fun gameplay. Responsive controls. Fast shooting. Extremely easy - most enemies die in one hit and even bosses only take 5-10 hits. You can jump for some light platforming.

Level Design

Levels are a bunch of small segments. Extremely linear and frankly boring. Each stage has a different biome. No environmental hazards other than falling off cliffs. Uninspired level designs.

Theme

SD characters are cute but there's not much ambiance in this one.

Art Style

Fantastic, especially for such an early release. The backgrounds are particularly interesting.

Enjoyable music. Some of the sound effects are annoying, like Ultraman's gun

Includes an unbelievably annoying weight system, limiting both what you can carry and what your character can use as a weapon. If you’re overloaded, you are unable to move. After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk.
