Gameplay

I'm calling it. This is the best traditional golf game of the 16-bit era. It's so streamlined, so accessible, so comfortable, so fast. Just aim, select a club, choose ball control, and time the strength. You don't even have to hit it a second time. It's so easy! The physics make sense and are consistent.

Level Design

Great course design. It's not too weird and offers a good challenge. It's easy to devise a plan of attack on each hole.

Theme

Stars cute chibi characters which are from Spike McFang if I'm not mistaken. Very cute and colorful.

Art Style

Great artwork throughout. Excellent pixel art rather than the crappy low-poly visuals in most golf games of the era.

Audio

An upbeat musical track plays. It gets old rather quickly but is pleasant.

After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk.
