Zombie Nation on steroids (literally)Genre: shooter - horizontal

Gameplay Score: 1
Gameplay Notes:
Wow I hate this game. So much. You're a massive hitbox with slow movement and the weakest and dumbest attacks ever in a shooter. Mashing 2 fires a homing shot. One single homing shot. A more powerful shot can be fired via pressing back and then forward on the d-pad and then fire. This gets old FAST. Who thought this was a good idea?! I can't even consistently fire these special moves and it's so labor intensive. What you're left with is a terrible, impossible experience.
Level Design Score: 2
Level Design Notes:
Enemies come on screen in large swarms which is awful because of the single shot homing weapon. The special moves are obviously meant to deal with these but due to your painfully slow movement you have to anticipate enemy placement in order to deal with it properly. To be honest I didn't even get past stage 2 and I don't care to stock around for more anyway.
Theme Score: 2
Theme Notes:
I've never understood the appeal of the homoerotic bodybuilder theme of this series. This one ramps it up to 11. I guess I see the humor of it all, but it's a bit much.
Art Style Score: 4
Art Style Notes:
Impressive sprite work. No slowdown. Good variety in backgrounds and enemy types and a good visual language for when you give or take damage.
Audio Score: 1
Audio Notes:
Yeesh, the music is insanely strange. As was the case for the prequel, "your mileage may vary." In my book the mileage is short.
