Jack Nicklaus' Turbo Golf

What's the opposite of turbo?

Genre: sports - golf

Publisher: Accolade

Year: 1992

System: TG-16 CD

Gameplay Score: 0

Gameplay Notes:

Obviously a PC port. And not a good one. First off the screen loads left to right more slowly than any good game I can think of. It's like watching a dot matrix printer at work. Equally bad is trying to hit a shot. The cursor moves quickly and being slightly off sends the ball miles away from your target. Terrain is indeterminate, especially when putting. That's the nail in this coffin.

Level Design Score: 1

Level Design Notes:

Match, Skins and Stroke play. No Tournament. Five courses

Theme Score: 1

Theme Notes:

This is the most stuffy golf game ever. Boomers might like it.

Art Style Score: 0

Art Style Notes:

Hahahahahahaha

Audio Score: 1

Audio Notes:

Lots of voiceovers from Jack and the most geriatric music ever. It's the Golf Channel's soundtrack, circa 1990

Overall Score: 8

Review ID: 10020
