Jimmy White's 'Whirlwind' Snooker
Genre: sports - pool
Publisher: Virgin
Year: 1994
System: MD PAL
Gameplay Score: 2
Gameplay Notes:
Easily the best and deepest simulation of a pool table in a 16-bit title. Clearly made for a PC, but with a whole bunch of button presses you can carefully and methodically adjust the angle, spin, fade, and power of each shot
Level Design Score: 1
Level Design Notes:
Only one mode - and it's snooker. I mean, I get it, that's what the game is called, but you couldn't throw in a regualr 8 or 9Ball game? Sheesh
Theme Score: 2
Theme Notes:
Haha I love that you can choose between four opponents - Tom, Dick, Harry...and Jimmy.
Art Style Score: 3
Art Style Notes:
Visually impressive for a pool game. The game has a polygonal look and allow you much freedom to adjust the view and camera placement. And it animates well!
Audio Score: 0
Audio Notes:
No music. The only sounds are of the ball crashing together. BYOM
Overall Score: 33
