Gameplay Score: 2
Gameplay Notes:
More of the same, but this time with a forward gun shot. This is fun for a second, but quickly becomes little more than a nuisance. It also ensures that whoever can separate from the pack will race on their own and coast to an easy vistory while everyone else is bumping and shooting one another in the back. The speed is still a problem, only compounding my dislike of the gameplay. Get hit or bump a wall once and you've got not chance of catching up.
Level Design Score: 4
Level Design Notes:
Same game modes as the previous game, but without the track editor in "96".
Theme Score: 4
Theme Notes:
Silly, with no real stakes. Just a fun little racing games to play in short installments. I'll bet it's good fun as a 5-player party game.
Art Style Score: 3
Art Style Notes:
Very simple, clean artwork. Maybe a touch better than the first game but not a big improvement. Cartoony avatars are reminiscent of Guess Who.
Audio Score: 3
Audio Notes:
Must love the sound of squealing tires Music is cheery and pleasant. Nothing I'd listen to outside the game, mind you
