Publisher: Telenet Japan

System: PCE CD
Gameplay Score: 2
Gameplay Notes:
Slow movement with no speed powerups. Four ships to choose from but you're stuck with it for that stage. Weapon upgrades take a long time to gather and do almost nothing. Two of the weapons/ships are useless. You've got a huge hitbox but tons of health and instead of dying you morph into a huge, OP insect creature for a bit. It's weird. I'm not even sure if it's possible to actually die. Horribly easy game as a result.
Level Design Score: 2
Level Design Notes:
Intensely boring stage design. Nothing interesting ever happens. Long stretches of emptiness. Each stage is broken up in two segments, but I'm not sure why. End bosses aren't very good either. The only interesting thing about the level design is that after stage 3 or 4 you get to pick the order of the next three.
Theme Score: 3
Theme Notes:
Vaguely sci-fi/biological/insectoid setting with the aforementioned four pilots. Different, anyway.
Art Style Score: 4
Art Style Notes:
Tons of variety in the backgrounds, and good, not great sprite work. The style honestly isn't up my alley, but credit for the creativity on display.
Audio Score: 2
Audio Notes:
Music is meh and sound effects have zero oomph. Your pilot winces every time you take damage, which actually adds some immersion.
