Uzu Keobukseon for MD

Uzu Keobukseon

From Korea with love

Genre: shooter - vertical

Publisher: Samsung

Year: 1993

System: MD

Gameplay Score: 3

Gameplay Notes:

I've said this before, but this is one of the easiest shooters I've ever seen. Powerups are health, pickups are plentiful and the weapons are fairly OP, so this is a cakewalk through and through. Speed is slow, but not unbearable. You can switch between two weapons at any time, although the controls are annoying for it.

Level Design Score: 2

Level Design Notes:

Unfortunately, stages are empty and repetitive. Not a complete trainwreck, but bad. Bosses are super easy as well, so long as you've got a powered up weapon.

Theme Score: 2

Theme Notes:

This was released only in Korea so Korean text is on the menus and elsewhere. Kinda cool to see it, to be honest. The game itself, has no rizz whatsoever.

Art Style Score: 1

Art Style Notes:

Your ship looks like either a Viking ship or an early prototype for a Star Trek starship. It's ugly, is what I'm trying to say. And so is everything else. The framerate is fine, but man is the artwork lacking.

Audio Score: 3

Audio Notes:

Nothing good or bad to report here.

Overall Score: 50
