Gameplay Notes:
Has a couple of good ideas, including real-time battles, but the controls are so stiff that they don't matter much. Just face your enemy and fire until one of you is dead. The only truly interesting mechanic is that if you attack an enemy city you fight its defences. If you attack an enemy in a city then you're up against them and the defences. Kind of a cool idea.
Level Design Score: 2
Level Design Notes:
Pretty standard fare for this era of SRPGs. Build units at a base which is very far from the frontline. There's a story mode and a one-off mode whose name I don't recall.
Theme Score: 3
Theme Notes:
This is a Dune rip-off. Two rival brothers are vying for the vacuum of leadership left by their dead Emperor father's throne. All units are mechs, which is always a plus.
Art Style Score: 2
Art Style Notes:
This is being generous, but the cutscenes and battle graphics aren't terrible. The map doesn't look look good at all.
Audio Score: 1
Audio Notes:
Elevator music. This music could not be more out of place in this fantasy sci-fi setting. What a baffling choice. The voice acting on the other hand, is laugh out loud hilarious. I was dying watching and listening to the long and unintentionally hilarious cutscenes.
