Biker Mice From Mars for SNES

Biker Mice From Mars

R.C. Pro-Am. With mice

Genre: racing - isometric

Publisher: Konami

Year: 1994

System: SNES

Gameplay Score: 4

Gameplay Notes:

Simple but effective. I got mixed up a few times due to the isometric view but it was manageable. Controls allow you to turn in 8 directions so you can easily snap to going straight. Also you can use R or L to shift laterally instead of doing a serpentine move which is lovely. Excellent controls for this sort of game.

Level Design Score: 2

Level Design Notes:

Unfortunately, the tracks are incredibly boring. Nearly all are just a simple square. They have a variety of cosmetic differences but they're otherwise devoid of character. Very disappointing. Plays exactly like R.C. Pro-am

Theme Score: 1

Theme Notes:

Is this based on a cartoon? Obviously A TMNT knockoff but nice from Mars is too much of a stretch. My wife and kids would not stop mocking it and I can't blame them.

Art Style Score: 4

Art Style Notes:

Very nice sprites, details in the tracks, animation, and effects. Looks great

Audio Score: 3

Audio Notes:

Hope you like a rock and roll soundtrack. Good stuff, but not something I'd listen to.

Overall Score: 65
