Demolition Man
Stallone puts his knitting skills to good useGenre: action - gun
Publisher: Acclaim Entertainment
Year: 1995
System: Genesis
Gameplay Score: 2
Gameplay Notes:
Decent controls, but fairly laggy. Very short jump so you're mostly grounded. Uses a cover system where you duck and hide behind boxes. Can't just go guns blazing like Contra. But the top down levels are much faster. Switches between side and top-down, like two games knitted together. Practically no hit detection in side view levels. Typical western stuff like endless spawning baddies Enemies sometimes disappear instantly
Level Design Score: 3
Level Design Notes:
Ok levels. Nothing memorable or noteworthy
Theme Score: 3
Theme Notes:
Silly setting but it's just a beefy guy shooting bad guys. Follows the mediocre movie
Art Style Score: 2
Art Style Notes:
Very dark and grainy. Hard to see details and enemies. Jarring graphical differences between the side view (prerendered) vs top down (chibi). It's as if two game engines were smashed together.
Audio Score: 2
Audio Notes:
Terrible music/sound Garbled voice samples "Be Well"
Overall Score: 46
