Frank Thomas Big Hurt Baseball

I don't know if it Hurts, but it's not very good

Genre: sports - baseball

Publisher: Acclaim

Year: 1995

System: SNES

Gameplay Score: 1

Gameplay Notes:

Stupid AI. You can always get out of any rundown. Have the devs ever watched a baseball game? Feels like playing an FMV game. Animation are crazy long so you have to swing long before you thing you should. Incredibly slow gameplay. Pitchers take time between pitches to wipe their brow, play with the ball. All kinds of stupid stuff. Takes forever There's a long pause between hitting the ball and switching to fielding view as if there's loading time. Very distracting Pitching is a slog. It takes 4 button presses each time to throw a single pitch. And opponents pretty much hit everything. Uggh

Level Design Score: 3

Level Design Notes:

Lots of modes. Exhibition, season, and scenario.

Theme Score: 3

Theme Notes:

Generic player licensed game but with an MLBPA license too?! The players even have recognizable stances in some cases

Art Style Score: 3

Art Style Notes:

Incredibly detailed artwork and animations. However, animation comes at great cost for eh gameplay which feels stilted
