Hurricanes for Genesis

Hurricanes

Aww, Kid Kleetz is all growed up

Genre: action - platform

Publisher: U.S. Gold

Year: 1994

System: Genesis

Gameplay Score: 1

Gameplay Notes:

Different game than the SNES version. This one looks and plays far worse. Attack by kicking a soccer ball, but unlike in Kid Kleetz the ball comes back to you which makes it a viable weapon. Unlike the SNES version the various kicks are performed with a combination of the d-pad plus the same button. This makes it very hard to perform the correct kick. You're defenseless while the ball is away from you. Nearly impossible to avoid enemy attacks. Platforming is tough for to slippery controls. Terribly annoying

Level Design Score: 2

Level Design Notes:

Typical platforming - go right through the three-platform high tunnel. Some too-long jumps and tons of blind jumps too. Tiny platforms. Reminds me of Rocky Bullwinkle
