Gameplay

Has some elements of a beat em up, like walking to the right, beating some little critters before having a wrestling match with the boss. Otherwise similar gameplay to its predecessor, for good and bad.
Still difficult to hit your opponent but this time around you don't have to pin them, thank goodness.
Winning a grappling session requires pressing left and right on the d-pad rapidly which probably made sense on an arcade joystick but is impossible to do with one thumb. The only way I found to do this is to use both thumbs but you have to change your grip on the controller to do so which wastes time making it even more difficult to win the grappling session. Uggh

Level Design

Same destructible environment. It's just a long corridor leading to a ring.

Theme

Smashing action figures together is always a good time

Art Style

Visuals are greatly improved over the original. Sprites are large, well-drawn, and animate well.
Even more environmental hazards and animations make the world seem alive around you.

Audio

Again, greatly improved over the original. Kinda weird stuff but it fits the game's cartoony theme.
