Gameplay

I didn't realize there was a prequel to the two Blazers games. Somehow this is the most playable of them all.
Movement is still slow but not the slideshow that is Bulls vs Blazers.
You can use the pump fake to score nearly every time. Love that. For this reason it's not as frustrating as the other two games.
The only real problem...and it's glaring...is that there's no indicator to show which player you're controlling. Yeah, you have to wiggle around to figure out who you are.

Level Design

All the usual stuff. Exhibition and season modes. All arenas look the same. Has an arcade mode or simulation tho I don't know the difference since I would never even attempt simulation in any of these games.
No other options to play with like in the later NBA Live titles.
It's bare-bones but easy to pick up and play.

Art Style

Looks identical to the other "Playoffs" titles, but with more smooth animations.

Audio

Early Genesis music. Its a constant drum beat, like something out of Road Rash. It plays during the game by default and is much louder than the minimal sounds. Turn off the music.
