Gameplay

Punch, jump, jump+punch. You can also grab and throw and there's a weird jump kick via the A button that you'll never use.
Unlike the SNES version this one is a standard beat em up with a large arena. Plays a lot like Spiderman/Venom.
Very fast movement. Almost too fast.
I was tempted to give the gameplay a 4 but it is just so monotonous! After three levels I had only seen one kind of enemy. A Predator-wannabe who turns into a puddle to move around the arena. Boring.

Level Design

Painfully boring levels. Just move to the right and fight the same wave of three puddle monsters again and again. Literally nothing interesting to do. There are few environmental hazards, no endless pits, etc.
Most levels don't even have a boss fight. Those that do swap your humand ranger for the Megazord...but he's the same size as the human and can't jump. So...these fights feel even more restrictive than the rest of the game.
Overall, extremely bad level design.

Theme

Feels a bit less dorky than the first one. Not bad but it's taking itself itself seriously this time. Also, the story doesn't line up with the levels. For example, the cutscene prior to level 2 says the rangers lost their powers and are sent to a jungle planet with an Amazonian woman promising to restore their powers. But then the level starts and you're fighting in a blacktop roadway in some city. Uhh, okay.

Art Style

Good graphics, but the prerendered headshots look terrible. Also, the graphics are considerably darker than the other PR games.

Audio

Decent music and sound. Rocking soundtrack, but it seems to only have one song.
