Gameplay

Much faster movement.
Combat is greatly simplified as well.
More forgiving ledge grabs.
Somehow the jumping is even more laggy than the original. They sacrificed frames of animation to make gameplay faster but this compounds the lag issue.

Level Design

Ok I'm taking issue with the level design. Everything is a true maze. There's one exit and a whole bunch of branching dead end paths. It's ok given that it's again a speedrun to the end with an even shorter time limit then the original.

The bad guy is back again and guess what? He's got your girl.

Art Style

Much more colorful than the original.
Much worse animation and simler pixel artwork.
Good but not great.

Audio

Umm, it's not good. The music is poorly composed and sounds like an amateur project. Half the notes sound offkey, like they couldn't use some notes so they substituted them with one that's close. It just sounds off

After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk.
