Ren & Stimpy Show: Stimpy's Invention
How did the SNES get 4 of these but the Genesis only got one?Genre: action - platform
Publisher: Sega
Year: 1993
System: Genesis
Gameplay Score: 3
Gameplay Notes:
Unlike the SNES games, this one is a straight up platformer. It plays very normally compared to those. All the usual stuff like terrible hit detection, unresponsive controls, cheap hits and blind jumps, no iframes, etc. However, you have several offensive capabilities and a tall jump – so there are some movement options. It's not great by any means, but the controls really aren't the problem here.
Level Design Score: 1
Level Design Notes:
Level design is abysmal. It's either a straight line with the occasional jump or a mess of enemies that you just have to tank your way through. There's no opportunity to avoid damage. They're just everywhere. Also lots of precision platforming in a game with questionable controls.

Art Style Score: 3
Art Style Notes:
Some decent artwork. The character models are more true to the show than any other version I've seen. The graphics are extremely pixelated but that's par for the course on the Genesis. The only real down side here is the minimal animation. Most enemies only have a couple of frames so everything looks janky.
Audio Score: 2
Audio Notes:
The music is true to the show and for me that's not a good thing. Sound effects are repeated a lot. Pretty much every time you attack Ren or Stimpy say a little catchphrase. It's annoying
