Gameplay

I didn't know this game existed!
Reminds me of Luigi's Mansion and not just because it's a family friendly horror setting. Well, mainly for that reason but there are others.
Move from room to room finding items that help you progress to the next area. Puzzles are light and easy as you would expect from a kids game.
Controls are ok with a dedicated run button plus jump and an interact/use button. Yeah it's shallow but it's well paced and fun despite being so simple.
Interestingly you don't have a health meter that depletes. Instead you have a fear meter that increases, kind of like in Eternal Darkness!
Forgettable minigames appear randomly to break up the monotony. One example is a stack-em game to build a sandwich. They're a decent diversion.

Level Design

Again, it's quite simple but the room-based design serves the game design well. Most clues are just sitting on the floor waiting to be discovered. It's silly but kind of fun. Nothing to get to excited about.

Theme

Very true to the source material. Daphne is perfectly useless, Fred acts as a gatekeeper and will tell you what to do next while Velma is the one you have to show clues to so she can solve the mystery. I found myself really enjoying being inside a Scooby Doo episode. Way more fun than it should be.

Art Style

Impressive sprites and animation. Seriously good stuff. Even the background and foreground artwork is very good. There's minimal stuff going on but it all looks just like the cartoon.

Audio

Again some impressive stuff that matches the source material. Nice voice samples with Scooby and Shaggy catch phrases.
