Gameplay

Movement is incredibly laggy and choppy. While walking around the screen pauses every second or so. It's quite annoying.
Everything moves so slowly.
Turn based battles are quite awkward. You pick a target and characters move within a battle area, sort of like Chrono Trigger. They can only move so far and will only attack if they get within range to attack. It feels imprecise and inconsistent. No way to tell what will happen either.
Laggy controls make it very difficult to navigate menus. Super awkward

Level Design

I didn't get very far but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt that there are some typical JRPG scenarios to experience. The first thing they do is give you three overpowered party members to help you level up and learn the ropes, which I greatly appreciate. By the looks of a walkthrough the game is very short so big points off for that.

Theme

You're a kid leaving the nest and a girl named Traysia. Nothing terribly interesting

Art Style

Character sprites look ok but have virtually no animation. Enemies are not so good looking.
Very grainy graphics.
Looks like a very early 16 bit title. More like a late 8 bit game.
Effects like casting a spell are laughably bad. Final Fantasy IV came out before this and puts it to shame in every respect.

Audio

Not too shabby. The music is pleasant if unmemorable.
