Could've been great

Gameplay

Punching feels satisfying, collision detection is good, and unlike say The Tick, the levels don’t overstay their welcome.
Play as three different characters similar to X-Men Mutant Apocalypse as well as Marvel Superheroes. Each character plays differently which gives some variety.

Level Design

First level was pretty boring. A long series of rooms on a dock at night. There was a mid boss with no way to attack him. He just plowed through me in a loader truck. Had to use bombs to stop him. Still have no idea what I was supposed to do instead. The level Kelly going and then just ended. Weird
Only three enemy types which don't really go together - a biker dude, a block footed robot, and Darkman. Oh and a few big green aliens. Random.

Theme

Forgettable X-Men wanna-be comic book superhero team from the 90s.

Art Style

Enormous sprites. Very detailed artwork and sprites. Animation is top notch.
Late-gen SNES titles that went with pixel art rather than prerendered crap.

Audio

Awesome rocking Tommy Tallaricco tunes. Not exactly my jam but quality stuff.
