Super Kokou Yakyuu: Ichikyuu Jikkon
Too bad I didn't learn Japanese in high schoolGenre: sports - baseball
Publisher: I'Max
Year: 1994
System: SFC
Gameplay Score: 3
Gameplay Notes:
Decent physics and whatnot, although fielding is challenging for both you and your opponent. Batted balls often bounce over your head and otherwise travel quickly, so fielding balls can be difficult. But pitching and hitting both work well. The end result is a lot of scoring, which isn't a bad thing.

Theme Score: 1
Theme Notes:
High school baseball game, similar to the Koushien series. Way too much Japanese in the menus for English speakers.
Art Style Score: 3
Art Style Notes:
Very small sprites which are well animated in the pitching/batting view. When fielding, everyone is microscopic.
Audio Score: 1
Audio Notes:
I like the ping of the bats. But the music is unbearable. At first I liked the rhythm which sounds like it's played with a bulge, but the best is an ear splitting drum beat which never relents. I quickly muted the game.
