Gameplay Notes:
I've decided that the purpose of all FMV games is to memorize the movie. It's like Mario RPG as a movie. This game plays like Night Trap, where your objective is to activate the camera in a given room and activate a trap to stop a baddie. That's easier said than done, as the menuing is incredibly cumbersome and the traps require multiple button presses to be prepped. Also, the exact moment to activate them is both precise and hard to spot sometimes. Ultimately, it's not fun.
Level Design Score: 1
Level Design Notes:
The game's design is confusing and requires a long string of perfect inputs. Again, it's a game of memorization, not skill. If you ever beat it, there's no point in ever playing again.
Theme Score: 1
Theme Notes:
It's Maniac Mansion if you are a voyeur watching folks walk around the mansion. The acting is campy and funny.
Art Style Score: 2
Art Style Notes:
The viewport is very small, with a massive HUD providing the menus. Still, the video quality ain't bad.
Audio Score: 2
Audio Notes:
No music. Just sound effects and lots of good, clear voices.
