Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story
Bruce Lee: The Movie: The GameGenre: fighting - 1v1
Publisher: Acclaim
Year: 1994
System: SNES
Gameplay Score: 2
Gameplay Notes:
Fights are super long. Hits take off barely any health. Big hits knock your opponent (or you) down and they stay down for several seconds. You can't attack during this so you just sit there and wait. It's a strange break in the action. Only one fighter. One. Almost a simulation-style of gameplay. Running in and button mashing will get you destroyed. Slow and steady makes me lose interest pretty quick Very difficult
Level Design Score: 1
Level Design Notes:
Really dumb between-level mini game Just a series of fights with no progression or even special moves. The enemies all feel the same as well with only minor different moves.
Theme Score: 1
Theme Notes:
Follows the plot of the movie with little movie screenshot cut scenes Biographies are nice, but don't make for a dynamic video game
Art Style Score: 3
Art Style Notes:
Prerendered backgrounds with some Dark gritty graphics. Decent artwork and animation. No special moves so there are no interesting effects
Audio Score: 2
Audio Notes:
Low key oriental music. Might be from the movie but who knows?
Overall Score: 36
