Scooby-Doo Mystery
It's a trial and error, I mean, point and click adventureGenre: adventure - point n click
Publisher: Acclaim Entertainment
Year: 1995
System: Genesis
Gameplay Score: 2
Gameplay Notes:
What can I say, it's a point and click game. Either you love them or you hate them. I find them terribly boring. The cursor moves fast enough and you move with the d-pad so that's nice.
Level Design Score: 3
Level Design Notes:
There are two mysteries to solve. If you use a guide each mystery takes about 20 mins to complete. I don't dare wonder how long it would take without a guide. Still there are a lot of fun scripted events to experience and I enjoyed the experience.
Theme Score: 5
Theme Notes:
Very true to the source material. Daphne, Fred, and Velma disappear immediately leaning Shaggy and Scooby to dope around. I found myself really enjoying being inside a Scooby Doo episode. Way more fun than it should be.
Art Style Score: 4
Art Style Notes:
Impressive sprites and animation. Seriously good stuff. Even the background and foreground artwork is very good. There's a lot of animations to boot which again just like the cartoon.
Audio Score: 4
Audio Notes:
Again some impressive stuff that matches the source material. Not great voice samples but that's to be expected.
