Gameplay

Plays just like 97. Once again, I can't complete a pass or shoot. Ultimately I just feel like I'm running around without any chance of scoring. But that's soccer for you, eh?
Passes and shots feel so weak.

I hate soccer. Takes million button presses to enter a game.

Looks good again. Sprites are still small but they animate incredibly well.

Audio

The menu and title tracks are much much better than the previous FIFA games. Crowd music ebbs and flows based on the action of the field. Pretty good

Includes an unbelievably annoying weight system, limiting both what you can carry and what your character can use as a weapon. If you’re overloaded, you are unable to move. After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk.
