Gameplay

Looks, plays, and sounds like an updated version of Pro Yakyuu World Stadium. If I didn't know better I'd say this is a sequel in that series. It's simple, nostalgic fun in the vein of NES Baseball and its successors.

Level Design

Nothing too deep. Exhibition and Pennant modes, plus an Edit team mode that's usable without knowing Japanese.

Theme

Pick up and play. Cute game. When a player is called out they turn into an angel, complete with a halo and white robes.

Art Style

The same cute, chunky sprites from the Pro Yakyuu World Stadium/Super Famista games. Not impressive by any stretch, but quite endearing.

Includes an unbelievably annoying weight system, limiting both what you can carry and what your character can use as a weapon. If you’re overloaded, you are unable to move. After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk.
