Lunar - Eternal Blue
Full moonGenre: rpg - japanese
Publisher: Working Designs
Year: 1995
System: Sega CD
Gameplay Score: 4
Gameplay Notes:
Plays exactly the same as the first game. The only noticeable improvement is the ability to change formation and create three predefined auto-battle settings. Simple battle mechanics that work just fine. Easy game.
Level Design Score: 4
Level Design Notes:
Again, just like the first game. Linear but easier to figure out what to do next. Each area looks and feels distinct, giving the world life.
Theme Score: 4
Theme Notes:
Epic story - especially compared to the first game. The big bad is introduced early and looms over the plot. a long, unskippable Less of Working Design's juvenile humor. Excellent voice acting in the cutscenes.
Art Style Score: 3
Art Style Notes:
Much improved visuals. Still tiny sprites and minimal animation, but far better details, particularly in the battle backgrounds. Not top-tier, but good visuals.
Audio Score: 5
Audio Notes:
Outstanding music. Sounds effects are barely there but the soundtrack makes up for it. Voice acting is much improved over the original.
Overall Score: 80
