Simpsons: Bart's Nightmare for SNES
Review #496
Simpsons: Bart's Nightmare
And now it's your nightmare
Gameplay
Ill-conceived, non sensical game design. Wander along a street that acts as a level select hub, but is just mindless filler. Your only purpose in this street hub is to avoid the same 5 enemies while watching for a piece of paper to jump onto. That let's you enter a level.
Controls are incredibly stiff and eats inputs like crazy.
Two attack buttons exist but do nothing
The whole thing feels extremely small and constrained
Level Design
Levels are dumb mini games that are one trick ponies. I didn't encounter one that I liked.
Theme
The Simpsons are cool. This game hearkens back to the era when Bart was the main character of the share rather than Homer
Art Style
Looks good in screenshots but animation is minimal.
Great use of color
