Gameplay

Defender, Defender II, and Robotron 2084 are worth the price of admission in their own. Not a fan of Joust and its weird hitboxes and Sinistar is a baffling game.
Games play fast feel great with a d-pad.
Unfortunately the controls in Robotron do NOT work on the Genesis controller.

Level Design

Even though they're classics is hard to say these games can hold up against the games they inspired. Gradius 3 and Super Smash TV greatly expanded on the formulas laid down by Defender and Robotron.

Theme

This is a collection of fast action games. Each game has a few options but aside from a simple menu you can do right in and start gaming.

Art Style

Obviously simple graphics but these games run smooth and have great use of color. The explosions are satisfying with particles flying and the screen flashing like in Defender. Good stuff.

Audio

Again, archaic sounds but these ports sound just like the originals. Or at least I think they do. Regardless, they sound great, for 40 year old games.
