Gameplay

Drastic departure from the previous game. This is now a side view in the style of Mega Man Soccer or Tecmo World Cubp, et al.
Movement is just about perfect - not too fast or slow.
Simple two button controls - pass, kick, tackle.
Kicks move fast. Thank you! Why can't all soccer games put some oomph behind their kicks?
Failrly easy to run around and score on Easy mode.

Same modes as everyone else. Getting into a match is fairly slow.

Sprites are so ugly. There's only one sprite with a lovely mullet. Each team is just a pallete swap.

Probably the worst quality audio in a Genesis game. The crowd noise, music, and other sound effects are unbelievably garbled. Mute immediately.

Includes an unbelievably annoying weight system, limiting both what you can carry and what your character can use as a weapon. If you’re overloaded, you are unable to move. After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk.
