Mario no Super Picross
Mario, Wario, and a chiselGenre: puzzle - overhead
Publisher: Nintendo
Year: 1995
System: SFC
Gameplay Score: 4
Gameplay Notes:
See my notes on the Picross NP series of games. This one plays almost identically, albeit with one nicety that I really miss, and that is having the ability to set all non-set pieces in a row to be crossed out. You can press and hold up a direction to set everything, but it overrides what you had previously put there, even if it was successfully choosing to set a cell. That aside, it's the same game.

The English patch improves the experience vs the Picross NP games that came afterward.

Art Style Notes:
The Mario and Wario themed artwork is a welcome addition, but the massive cursor and busy animation that plays each time you set a tile get distracting after a while.
