Gameplay

Plays just like SkiFree!

Bizarre control scheme. B makes you steers to to the left and down on the dpad steers you right. I would've done the opposite, or just used the dpad.

Avoid other skiers and other obstacles to each the bottom of a course.

Levels include PvE time attack, 1on1 races, and a race against a field of other players.

Theme

Just you and a snowy hill. Charming big-headed sprites and colorful cutscenes give the game fun personality.

Art Style

Simple overhead graphics. Numerous NPCs range from children playing to skiing noobs to tracked vehicles. It's like zooming through an animated, sparsely populated Where's Waldo picture.

Audio

The music reminds me of Rolling Thunder, another Namco title. Overall I enjoyed the song.

After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk.
