Gameplay

I've never enjoyed a Lode Runner title. the mechanic is overly simple and honestly, not fun. Enemies swarm toward you constantly, like speedy Donkey Kong baddies. You can delay they by burying them in a hole you've dug on your left or right. This means you must constantly be on the move without time to truly contemplate your next move. Again, not a particularly interesting concept.

Level Design

Compared to other Lode Runner titles, this one has a lot of options and modes. The main improvement is the addition of a Battle mode. This game thinks it's a Bomberman title. I'll give it props for trying, but I don't think it's taking Bomberman's title as king of the multiplayer party game anytime soon.
