Gameplay

Complicated powerup system with three weapons, three levels each, plus sub weapons that come and go as you take damage. Each stage starts with plentiful powerups, ensuromg you can stay OP most of the time. I beat it first try without much difficulty. You can also switch between three forms, which changes how the secondary weapon fires, but I never found a reason to use anything but the normal form. Speed increases stack until it's crazy fast.

Level Design

Lots of long stages, but not much interesting to speak of. Most enemies are stationary turrets or fast bugs that get off a shot. Bosses are all nearly identical - a large amorphous blob that fires a spread of bullets, drops to the bottom of the screen, then bounces back to the top. Rinse, repeat.
