Gameplay

Good job inventing the arena FPS but why couldn't you invent strafing as well?
Crippling slowdown. Even worse than the SNES version.
Same problem as Battlezone - you can only shoot straight ahead which is also the only direction you can move so shoots are unavoidable.
Shots only connect at extreme close range so you have to run in which all but guarantees mutually assured destruction.
Shooting causes a yellow projectile to appear which covers the ENTIRE SCREEN.
The viewport is tiny - about 1/4 the screen in Race and 1/6 or 1/8 in Battle.

Level Design

There are two modes - Battle and Race. I'd be grateful if someone could fill me in on what Race is, because I have no clue. A timer counts down and you can run around the mazes collecting something invisible, I guess. I played several arenas and still have no idea what is going on.
The Battle mode is an arena FPS. There are a dozen or so arenas. They all play identically tho so there's no true variety.

Theme

It's an arena FPS. A one player arena FPS. With smiley faces. Hmm

Art Style

Atrocious framerate.
Crippling slowdown.
Entire screen is covered most of the time.
Impressive in 1987. Awful in 1993. Unbearable in 2025.

Audio

Far better sound than the SNES version. Not great, mind you, but tolerable
