Gameplay

Extremely simple gameplay. Low difficulty. Quickly get a powerful set of weapons and subweapons. Each stage gives you a different weapon but it's not tailored to the stage or anything, so it doesn't feel well designed. Most of the weapons favor shooting horizontally or backward, which isn't useful most of the time.
Fast movement and responsive controls are notable, but this is a game I wouldn't revisit.

Level Design

Good stage design, with stages themed around environmental hazards, enemy waves, or both. Better than average.

Theme

Generic space shooter, but with a cutesy, rounded, biological aesthetic. Fancies itself as an R-Type clone, I guess.

Art Style

Colorful but unimpressive. Flat artwork. The screen does a weird perspective shift as you move up or down the screen. Kind of cool.

Includes an unbelievably annoying weight system, limiting both what you can carry and what your character can use as a weapon. If you’re overloaded, you are unable to move. After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk.
