Gameplay

Plays just like the Great Dodge Ball games but with much improved controls. Catching and targeting are as unpredictable as ever but the game moves and plays so much more smoothly.
Matches are very short since you only need to get 7 total hits instead of whittling down the HP of each player.
There are seemingly infinite continues as the match just restarts if you lose.

Level Design

Cosmetic changes in the arenas. It's easier to jump into a match than the Super Famicom version.

Theme

Super long anime cutscenes between every match. Way more time spent watching these than actually playing.

Art Style

Anime style with a red spiky haired protagonist. Sprites are much smaller than the SFC version. Different look but still good, just not as good.

Audio

Disappointing for a Sunsoft game. Not terrible, of course, but pretty generic music.
