Gameplay

Same basic controls as the first game but the speed is ramped up significantly. My reaction times aren't what they used to be. I could not keep myself on the road in this game as things popped up way too fast.
Your car is kept not quite in the center of the screen. In fact, I think it's closer to the direction you're headed than it is to the back of the screen.
the saving grace is that the penalty for going off road or even falling off a click is fairly small so with practice and memorization I think I could get good at it.
Still, I MUCH prefer the prior title.

Level Design

Same modes as the first game - challenge (normal) and head-to-head where you score points by getting the other guy off the screen. The increased speed makes that second mode even worse than it was in the first game. There's also a league mode and a time attack for practice.

Tons of variety in the vehicles (boats, cars, trucks, etc.)

Theme

Silly, with no real stakes. Just a fun little racing games to play in short installments.
I'll bet it's good fun as a 5-player party game.

Art Style

Very simple, clean artwork. Maybe a touch better than the first game but not a big improvement.
Cartoony avatars are reminiscent of Guess Who.

Audio

Must love the sound of squealing tires
Music is cheery and pleasant. Nothing I'd listen to outside the game, mind you
