Gameplay

This game is a simulation in every sense. Movement and momentum are insanely slow. On a straight away it takes 5-10 seconds to move from one side of the road!

Level Design

Same two modes as all of these games - a circuit and a practice mode. Tons of configuration but there's a language barrier.

Art Style

Teeny tiny viewport that takes up 1/4 of the screen. The rest is taken up by the HUD and a second racer's screen. Sprites look good but are tiny. Nice looking menus and great use of color.

Includes an unbelievably annoying weight system, limiting both what you can carry and what your character can use as a weapon. If you’re overloaded, you are unable to move. After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk.
