Gameplay

Fast movement
Four weapons types that are collected in sets of three. Every combination gives a different effect which theoretically allows for strategy but in practice feels random. However you can drop a weapon or as a bomb when picking up a new one. This is very helpful for boss fights.
Overall a good but not great shooter.

Level Design

Boring level design. Everything is on front of you, there are no environmental hazards, and enemies are easy to deal with. Just move laterally to hot everyone.

Theme

Serious anime theme. Voice acting on the cutscenes has a gruff quality. Artwork is jagged and dark.

Art Style

Some of the sprites and bosses are impressive but the backgrounds are stale and boring. Good effects

Great music that's dropped out by sound effects.

After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk.
