Gameplay

It's unique anyway. Take jobs and bring your team of four Matrix Agent wannabes out to shoot targets and civilians.
Plays a bit like GTA mixed with Risk.
Lots of in between level management of stats, weapons, taxation of areas conquered.

Level Design

The levels have varying objectives like kill all baddies or rescue a hostage. Seems like the primary speak. Objectives are hard to understand. Just wander around until the level ends.

NES quality sprites.
Living environment with lots of NPCs wandering. The world feels alive

Audio

Nice atmospheric music and satisfying sounds like gunshots and screams. Vast improvement over the cartridge versions.

Includes an unbelievably annoying weight system, limiting both what you can carry and what your character can use as a weapon. If you’re overloaded, you are unable to move. After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk.
