Gameplay

Laggy controls like Prince of Persia which favor animation of responsiveness. You only have a run and jump button. Jump is extremely short. No platforming. Instead, the gameplay involves ducking to avoid environmental obstacles. That's about it, really.
You have a huge hitbox, low health which doesn't refill between stages, few health pickups, nothing to collect or items to use, and an oppressive time limit that gives you barely enough time to finish each stage.

Level Design

Stages are only about 1 to 2 minutes long and require some combination of talking to people, picking up something, avoiding nearly unavoidable hazards, and reaching some final spot. There no indication of what to do so it's complete experimentation and memorization.

Theme

The plot takes center stage and the entire experience is presented as a visual novel. I'm somewhat intrigued but also confused what is happened. It's like an Indiana Jones film starring Archie - good premise and setting but dorky characters.

Art Style

Seriously impressive animation and artwork. It comes at the cost of gameplay, but the attention to visual detail is commendable. The transition from foreground to background is done really well. One of the most unique looking games of the era. But the actual art design is an acquired taste.

Low-key music and minimal sound effects. I turned out the sound almost immediately.
